DAMAGE TO FACILITIES/EQUIPMENT PROBLEMS OR NEEDS:

PREPARATION IN LOCKER *

Ensure all bows, strings and arrows are in good condition.Put out bows, arrows and safety equipment.Lock archery locker and double check door.

PREPARATION IN RANGE *

Range sign “Open”.Range Status light is turned to green.Inspect Range and building for any damage and condition.Hang safety net and put out archery backstops.

RANGE USE *

Instruct all shooters not to touch any of the adjustments.  Give instruction on the use of the safety equipmentExplain Range commands and safety rules.Change Range Status light to red.Give Range commands.Monitor and supervise the line.Give Range commands on completion of relay.Ensure all bows are grounded.Change Range Status light to green.Instruct to retrieve arrows.Monitor line while shooters are down range.

AFTER SESSION IS FINISHED *

Check all bows, strings, arrows, and safety equipment before putting away.Ensure everyone washes hands with soap when leaving the Range.

IN LOCKER *

Hang bows on walls.Store arrows (according to size) in proper place.Store safety equipment and targets in proper place.Shut locker doors and lock.

IN RANGE *

Inspect for any damage incurred during session to equipment and facilities.Clean floor, if necessary.Inspect condition of archery backstopsEnsure Range usage report and checklist is filled out.Turn all Range lights off and lock door.

WHEN LEAVING *

Sweep floors as required in safe area, washroom and foyer. Damp mop if necessary.Range sign to “Closed”, alarms are set and lock safe area door.All lights turned off and outer doors are locked.
