DAMAGE TO FACILITIES/EQUIPMENT PROBLEMS OR NEEDS:
PREPARATION IN VAULT
*
Ensure all rifle barrels are empty.
Pack transport box with rifles in safe condition (breach flags inserted).
Pack onto transport box all equipment required for Range session.
Lock vault and double check door.
PREPARATION IN RANGE
*
Range sign “Open”.
Range Status light is turned to green.
Inspect Range and building for any damage and condition.
Lay out mats at appropriate firing point.
Lay out rifles and eye protection, load pellet holders.
RANGE USE
*
Instruct all shooters on how to load and aim rifles.
Explain Range commands and safety rules
Have targets posted and pellet holders placed on firing line.
Change Range Status light to red.
Give Range commands.
Monitor and supervise the line.
Give Range commands on completion of relay.
Check each rifle that it is unloaded and safe (breach open, breach flag inserted).
Change Range Status light to green.
Instruct to change or retrieve targets.
Monitor line while shooters are down range.
Inspect targets to ensure all rounds left the rifle.
AFTER SESSION IS FINISHED

Check all rifle barrels and insert breach flags before storing in carrier and load equipment onto carrier.
Clean floor.
Ensure everyone washes hands with soap when leaving the Range.
Inspect for any damage incurred during session to equipment and facilities.
Replace any backboards, if necessary.
Ensure Range usage report and checklist is filled out.
Turn all Range lights off and lock door.
IN VAULT
*
Lock pellets and rifles in proper place, action open and breach flags inserted, tag any fault rifles.
Store eye protection and targets in proper place.
Turn off light in vault
Lock vault door and double-check door is locked.
WHEN LEAVING
*
Sweep floors as required in safe area, washroom and foyer.
Range sign to “Closed”, alarms are set and lock safe area door.
All lights turned off and outer doors are locked.
